Q: I’m looking for rubber washers that have a bit of resistance (lower durometer), so that they can be slid onto a wrought iron bar that is approximately 1/4“ diameter — not unlike the stoppers used on ‘garden flag stands.’
I’ll be using them as spacers along the length of a wrought-iron bar.
A: All of our washers are the dimensions stated +/- tolerances. So if the bar you have is 1/4", this washer would likely work just fine to slide over the bar and act as a spacer. If the bar is slightly over 1/4", this washer would likely stretch enough to slide over the bar without breaking. If the bar is too much larger than 1/4", then it could stress the washer and it could split or break over time.
